The original kitchen was built in the 70’s and needed updating.
The first step was to remove all the appliances, the cabinets which were recycled then remove all the soffits.
The design that the customer and I developed was a set of maple cabinets with shaker style doors and upper cabinets that were treated with a custom crown molding. The lowers were decked with marble and on one side the counter was stepped to provide bar seating and more storage cabinets on the right. The sleek hood vent and lack of upper cabinets vastly improved line of sight to the breakfast nook. Also included was a wine cabinet with inverted wine glass storage and an adjacent bank of cabinets that housed a double oven, more storage and desk space.
